Unemployment among all Veterans is 6.7 percent, according to data released Friday by the Bureau Labor of Statistics.
That jobless rate is more than a full percentage point lower than the national unemployment average of 7.8 percent.
The rate also fell for Post-9/11 Veterans to 9.7 percent. The percent of Veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan-era looking for a job is still higher than the national average, but it’s trending downward.
Details on the September Veterans employment data are available on the VA blog: VAnatage Point.
