Military Child of the Year Finalists Announced

They must demonstrate resilience, strength of character and thrive despite the challenges of military life. They’re leaders in their communities and helpers in their homes.

That’s what the Operation Homefront judges were looking for when they selected 25 finalists for the 2011 Military Child of the Year. This is the first year that a winner will be selected from each branch of service – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard. That announcement will be March 9. Each winner will receive $5,000 a trip to Washington D.C. for a ceremony.
