Spending a Year in Kabul: One 9/11 Story

Many serving in today’s military have been shaped by the terrorist attacks of 9-11. Capt. Dyrud Felisa is one such example. She was a freshman at the Air Force Academy in 2001.

Instead of rushing in, the events prompted her to take a step back. Her story is reported by Staff Sgt. Rebecca Goodwin. I found it on DVIDS – the Defense Video and Imagery Distribution System.

Now, Capt. Felisa is deployed to Afghanistan and using the skills she learned during her time away from the Academy.
