Patricia Johnson Woodham was best known around AMVET Post 4 for her typical response, “that’s lovely,”and for her favorite beverage, a Shandy, a British drink that mixes draft beer and 7-Up, which in the UK is lemonade.
The Ladies Auxiliary has planned a candlelight Memorial Service for Woodham Sunday at 11 a.m. at the post, 1014 Skipper Road, Tampa, FL.She passed away Jan. 22, 2012.
The irony is that Woodham served as the Post 4 Ladies Auxiliary’s chaplain and was responsible for organizing memorial services for other members who had passed away. She also helped with cooking in the kitchen at the post and with yard sales.
But, maybe Woodhamp’s biggest impact since joining the Post 4 in 1995 came with her volunteer work at the Post’s food pantry where she sorted and packed all of the food boxes for families in need. When she stared volunteering, the program had 20 families, She helped build the outreach so that now more than 200 families a week receive food packages.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Woodham; children, Nigel Johnson, Sara Reeher, Stuart Heritage, son-in-law, Charles Goulding “George”; grandchildren, Kayleigh Cooper, Oliver Johnson, Rosie Johnson, Kizzy Johnson, Poppy Heritage, Orla Heritage; great-grandchild, Alfie Johnson; brother, Trevor Owen.
