A scaled down, traveling version of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. was brought to the area by the Tampa Bay Veterans Alliance and set up this weekend at Coachman Park, 301 Drew St., Clearwater.
The wall is up through today, Sunday. The closing ceremony is set at 5 p.m. The Wall is an early salute to all Veterans and Veterans Day, November 11th.
This Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. It was made for the purpose of helping heal and rekindle friendships and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their home town who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington.
